Making Networking Human Again
We know the value of connection. We’re told our network is our greatest asset. Yet for so many of us, the reality of professional networking is exhausting, awkward, and often feels completely fake.
We live in a world of endless scrolling and performative posts, where algorithms reward clicks over genuine conversation. When we do try to connect in person or at large events, we face a different set of barriers—the cost, the time, and the sheer discomfort of trying to be heard in a crowded room.

tara is a community built for genuine human connection. It's a place to get a fresh perspective on a problem you’re stuck on, share the highs and lows of building something new, or simply hear someone else's story and find inspiration for your own journey.
We’ve designed Tara to be the opposite of a crowded conference hall. It’s an accessible and welcoming community where a thoughtful, quiet conversation is valued more than shouting to be heard. It’s a haven for introverts and a place where every member’s experience is respected.

Hello! My name is Gabi 👋
I’ve long had a passion for supporting people to connect and grow in their careers. Over the years I’ve led DEI initiatives in gender balance, social mobility and neurodiversity and set up reverse mentoring and talent rotation programmes. tara is the culmination of many of these inititatives - a community space to help being connect, grow and develop in their professional lives, whatever that looks like.
I know from my own experience, being a woman from a disadvantaged background and late diagnosed with ADHD and autism, how tough it can be to navigate your career when you feel out of kilter with the professional world you inhabit. Time after time people have told me how hard they find networking, whether it’s walking into a big room full of strangers or filtering out all the noise on LinkedIn.
tara is for everyone who wants to get away from algorithms, elevator pitches and AI generated posturing. tara is for all of us who want to rediscover the magic of genuine conversations, connecting around shared values and a desire to make this world just a little bit better, one small step at a time. My vision is for tara to become a community led platform, built for our members, by our members.

Why tara?
For millennia, stars have guided explorers, offered wisdom, and helped us navigate unknown territories. tara revives this ancient art of shared wisdom and knowledge, translating it to the modern professional journey. Set against the vast, complex cosmos of our modern professional lives, tara carves out an intentional space for meaningful connection. It represents the idea that while each individual star holds unique value, it is as part of a constellation that it shines even brighter, offering collective guidance and revealing new possibilities.

The tara values
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
